2015 | 2:41 | Conservation of a Thai Fan
Director, Producer
A fragile silk and paper fan circa 1887, made to commemorate the cremation of Rama V's of Thailand's infant children, is conserved. However the significance of the fan's creation echoes the process of the fan's preservation; its original existence the result of Buddhist merit-making, this "good deed" is carried on by the conservators.
Executive Produced by Julia Brennan of Caring for Textiles in Washington D.C., with conservation undertaken by Karen Horton. Currently unreleased.
